Bathroom Storage Ideas
"Sometimes the Most Productive Thing You Can Do Is Relax"
The bathroom is where you clean up, it's only fitting that you try your best to make it the tidy room in your house. That means no countertop clutter, towels on the floor, or rogue electronics and wires scattered about. So check out the bathroom storage ideas below to get organised, relax and make the most of your space.
Install more cabinets
Some people love open shelving in the kitchen, but not in the bathroom. Closed storage works best in a small bath. By having doors and drawers to hide the bits and bobs and the unattractive necessities of your get-ready routine can be a godsend.
Add hooks and rods
I will always advocate for using hooks in a kid’s bathroom. Little ones are more likely to hang up towels on a hook than to drape them neatly over a towel rod. In fact, rods dry towels faster than hooks. Opts for both hooks and rods if your bathroom has enough space.
Keep hair tools organised
One way to ensure that you don't keep your flat iron plugged in (or worse, on!) all day long? Have a designated storage spot for your hairdryer. You can buy holsters or hooks designed to store the item, or you can simply hang it up in a pretty basket or a French net market bag.
Take advantage of cabinet doors
The cabinet doors can be very useful. Don’t neglect the back of your cabinet doors. Keep flat irons, blow dryer and brushes at hand and out of sight in a space-saving basket, which you can attach straight to the door. A magnetic strip is a good ideal for catches tiny items before they hit the counter.
Opt for these modern ladder shelves over traditional cabinetry to make use of empty space. Throw a few baskets on them for even more organisation.
Corral the kid’s stuff with a bath-toy bag
Rubber duckies, bath sponges, and toys for kids’ bath time can take up a lot of space. Keep them in tow in a mesh laundry bag that you can hang from a hook, or stash them in a colorful storage bin.
